Before and After: Oakland Hills Galley Kitchen and Dining Room
This project in the Oakland Hills was such a fun transformation. The house had good bones and of course--THOSE VIEWS!
Here's where we started:
And here's where we ended up:
The entrance to the kitchen was dark and closed off:
So we opened it up and rearranged some things and raised the doorways to ceiling height passageways:
We cleaned up the trim with simple square edge details but also increased the size. The built in banquette made the dining area prettier and easier to use. Custom roman shades increased the scale of the windows as well.
But the icing on the cake of this reinvented space is the beautiful cabinetry:
And of course the beautiful Heath Ceramics tile in colors that coordinate with the gorgeous quartzite counters:
So glad to give this family a beautiful functional space! This is what it's all about.
